Stage Coach Bankruptcy Services

VBA Role

What is the Virtual Bankruptcy Assistant Role?

A Virtual Bankruptcy Assistant (VBA) is a highly skilled independent business owner trained to prepare Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions for licensed attorneys.  They do not work for the general public and they do not give any legal advice.  They maintain complete confidentiality.  The attorney outsources part of the workload to the VBA, meaning the VBA functions much like a remote paralegal on their team when needed.  VBAs are paid a flat fee per petition on an as-needed basis.  The VBA has no associated overhead costs for the attorney.

The VBA does most of the paperwork, the due diligence, and with your permission, can also handle the phone contact with your client to gather required information.  As a result, in most cases, the attorney only spends 1 1/2 to 2 hours actual time on the case, including the 341 meeting.  VBAs can reinforce your office staff and free up paralegals and other personnel for more complex cases.  Your hourly profit per case increases.

Specialized training has been taken at 713Training.com, the only organization to offer training specifically for the preparation of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 petitions.  713Training.com has been approved for Continuing Legal Education credits.

Benefits of outsourcing tasks to Stage Coach Bankruptcy Services:

  • You don't have to pay for salary or benefits or deal with tax withholdings
  • You don't have to pay for wasted time.  You only pay a flat fee per petition on an as-needed basis.
  • You don't pay for sick time or vacation or down time.
  • Due diligence is done for you on each petition, saving you time and headaches.
  • Faster completion because VBA is not interrupted by your office telephones or co-workers.
  • You are no longer limited by normal office hours so client calls can be taken in the evenings.
  • Relief is available from the large volume of calls for general information from bankruptcy clients.  We are trained in Unauthorized Practice of Law and do not provide legal advice to your clients.  We only gather general information for your review and direction.
  • Your staff is freed up for other priorities.
  • You don't have to provide office space or office equipment, saving you overhead expense.
LEGAL DISCLAIMER: We are NOT licensed attorneys.  We do not provide legal advice or representation.  We are a service provider for licensed attorneys, working under the supervision of licensed attorneys, and do not work for the general public.  If you have any questions regarding filing bankruptcy you should consult with a licensed attorney.
