The Process
- Attorney gets completed Client Intake Forms and gathers required documentation from client.
- After reviewing for missing information, attorney faxes or emails Client Intake Forms plus credit counseling certificates and last full 6 months paystubs/proof of income to VBA.
- The VBA prepares a complete draft of the petition using the software selected by the attorney. Included is a cover letter to the attorney highlighting issues, questions, or missing information. If the attorney authorizes, the VBA contacts the client for missing information.
- The attorney reviews the petition and accompanying notes and requests any changes. Once the petition is approved, VBA forwards a completed final draft to attorney for client signatures in PDF format, suitable for electronic filing.
The VBA can file the approved petition electronically if requested and can also forward a copy of the petition to your client using your letterhead, if desired. Any subsequent changes requested will be made. VBA can followup for deadlines.
